Gimbal Expansion Joints
Features
The expansion joint comprises connecting pipes, bellows, universal ring and two pairs of hinge plates arranged perpendicular to each other on universal ring. Therefore, the expansion joint can absorb angular displacement in any direction on the transverse plane. Generally 2 or 3 such expansion joints are assembled in pipelines. The hinges and universal ring can withstand pressure thrust. Mostly, multiple assemblies of such expansion joints are used in 3D Z-shaped pipelines.
